How Do I Set Default Shipment Dimensions in ShipTime?

ShipTime’s Default Dimensions feature lets you save commonly used shipment details so they automatically populate when you create a new shipment.

This can help reduce repetitive data entry if you frequently ship packages with the same dimensions, weight, or other preferences.

How do I set default dimensions?

  1. Log in to your ShipTime account.
  2. Go to Settings > Preferences & Defaults.
  3. Enter the default shipment details you want ShipTime to use.

These may include:

  • Length
  • Width
  • Height
  • Weight
  • Package Description

       4.  Save your changes.

 

Once saved, these values can automatically populate when you create a new shipment.

Can I set a default insurance value?

Yes. ShipTime also allows you to set a Default Insurance Value in your preferences.

This can save time if you regularly insure shipments for the same amount.

Always review the insurance value before completing a shipment to make sure it reflects the actual value you want to insure.

Can I save other default shipment preferences?

Yes. Depending on the available account settings, you may also be able to save commonly used preferences such as:

  • whether the address is residential
  • whether a standard signature is required
  • whether an adult signature is required

These settings can help reduce the number of selections you need to make during shipment creation.

Yes.
