How to Apply for a ShipTime Credit Account

ShipTime normally operates on a pay-per-shipment basis. Customers shipping more than 10 shipments per month may request a credit account with consolidated weekly billing.

Credit accounts are subject to review and approval by ShipTime.

What is a ShipTime credit account?

An approved credit account allows eligible customers to consolidate their shipping activity into a weekly invoice instead of paying for each shipment individually as it is created.

Payment is processed using the approved payment method associated with the credit account, such as a credit card or pre-authorized debit (PAD), depending on your account setup.

How do I apply for a credit account?

  1. Sign in to your ShipTime account.

Your request will be sent to ShipTime’s Credit team for review.

How long does a credit application take?

Credit applications are generally reviewed within approximately one week, although processing time may vary depending on the information required.

If additional information is needed, ShipTime may contact you as part of the review process.

Is credit approval guaranteed?

No.

Credit accounts are approved at ShipTime’s discretion based on factors such as shipping volume and creditworthiness.

ShipTime may request additional financial information before approving or changing a credit limit.

Approval of one credit limit also does not guarantee that the same limit will remain available indefinitely. ShipTime may increase, decrease, or otherwise modify an approved credit limit based on account circumstances.

How does weekly billing work?

Approved credit accounts are billed on a weekly basis.

ShipTime’s billing cycle runs from 12:01 AM Sunday through midnight Saturday, with invoices generally generated on Monday night.

There is a delay between when shipments are created and when they appear on an invoice. This allows ShipTime time to receive additional billing information from the carrier before the invoice is generated.

Your weekly invoice may include:

  • shipment charges
  • carrier adjustments
  • applicable duties and taxes
  • brokerage or customs-related charges
  • other applicable account charges

Payment is then processed using the payment method associated with the approved credit account.

Why can my available credit be low if I do not have an open invoice?

Because shipments can use your available credit before the corresponding weekly invoice is generated, it is possible to have limited or no available credit even when no open invoice appears on your account.

This does not necessarily mean there is a billing issue. Recent shipments may already be using part or all of your approved credit limit but may not yet have been included on the next invoice.

If your available credit is preventing you from creating shipments or you believe your balance is incorrect, contact our Heroic Support™ team so we can review the account.

What if I disagree with a charge on my invoice?

If you believe a carrier adjustment or other shipment charge is incorrect, it may be eligible for review or dispute.
