Why Was I Charged a Nationex Pickup Fee?

If you see an additional charge on a Nationex shipment, it may be related to a cancelled or unsuccessful pickup attempt.

Nationex may assess a pickup-related fee when a driver has already been dispatched or attempts to collect a shipment that is not ready or available.

When can a Nationex pickup fee apply?

A pickup-related charge may apply when:

  • a pickup is cancelled after the driver has already been dispatched
  • the driver arrives and the shipment is not ready
  • the shipment is unavailable when the pickup is attempted
  • an additional pickup attempt is required

Nationex currently advises that when a parcel is unavailable for a return pickup, a second attempt may be made. Nationex

Why was I charged $9.75?

If your invoice shows a $9.75 Nationex charge, it may be the applicable pickup cancellation or unsuccessful-pickup fee associated with the shipment.

Because carrier fees can change, review the adjustment details on your ShipTime invoice to confirm what the charge relates to.

How can I help avoid pickup charges?

Before scheduling a Nationex pickup:

  • make sure the shipment is fully packaged and ready
  • attach the required shipping label
  • ensure the package is accessible to the driver
  • notify ShipTime as soon as possible if a scheduled pickup needs to be cancelled or changed

Cancelling before the driver has been dispatched may help avoid an unnecessary pickup attempt, although applicable fees are ultimately determined by Nationex.

What if I believe the charge is incorrect?

Review the shipment and invoice details first.

If you believe the Nationex charge was applied incorrectly, contact our Heroic Support™ team with your ShipID and the adjustment details. We can review the charge and determine whether further investigation with Nationex is appropriate.
